2 weeks in V-land

Hi everybody!
Bman from Australia 38 years and never have felt so aliVe with my 2011 V buzzing under my behind.(its really not as bad as the reviews would lead me to believe thanks invader for the TPS tips
).
Bit of a late bloomer when it comes to motorcycles although many of my buddies have been riding forever which inspired me to finally get into it.
My Gs500 was fun to learn on then the Sv650s had me loving the twisties but when your riding 100km to work then taking the (wink) long way home , 5 days later and an expensie trip to the chiro i thought F me theres gotta be another way to get my ass to work on a budget and have some good times along the way.
Then came sweet sweet V.....
Can i say what a bike !!!
Carve up the twisty bits , say goodbye to peak hour traffic with great fuel economy minus the hours of being stuck in the fetal position damn this bike has alot going on .
Have been stalking this site for a while so I'd like to pre thank you all for the invaluable information.
My V came with handguards an MRA kawi touring screen and (saddlepanniers) lol.
Omg kawasaki versys 650 is the bike of the century and im obviously chuffed to now own one. V excited and cheers to all ...

Welcome!! Glad you're enjoying the Versys.
How tall are you? I added the Motowerk lowering pegs to mine and it made the world of difference for the longer rides. However I am sure it isn't necissary for every other citizen of the world... Not everyone is a giant trying to ride a bike

Hello and welcome. You made a good choice. People don't understand the fun and stress relief riding can bring, unless they too ride. Enjoy.

Thanks guys but at the moment the bike is fitting like a glove im 177cm so 5'8" have not measured inseam but can pretty much flat foot balls against tank with +1 preload sag on the rear shock will consider the kit when i start doing some serious touring on her i just love the commanding riding position and the rider triangle for now seems to work unreal for me.

The peg-lowering-blocks give your knees a BIT (1.3") more room.

Thanks eddie i'm defos going to look into the lowering blocks in the future , quick question , does it affect lean angle ground clearance much? i really live for the twisties and 1.3" seems like i might be touching down a bit sooner.

No. Just after I took an advanced-rider course I scraped the 'peg feelers a few times, but there's STILL bit of lean available AFTER that.
