New Member / Rider ?'s

Hello all. I would love to get some feedback from experienced riders...
I've had my license for 1 year on the nose. I have a 14 Ninja 300 but currently looking at a Versys 650. I'm concerned it may be too big / much for me? I've only ridden 1000 miles in the last year due to time restrictions. I think th Ninja is very forgiving for beginners for many reasons. What is thr realistic expectation for making the change to Versys 650?
I like my Ninja but not comfortable for much longer than an hour and my wife wants to take it over. If it matters; I am 6' 200 #.
All feedback is greatly appreciated!!!

Hello and welcome Jeff. I believe you'll find it a good choice for you, PLUS your wife gets the Ninja. How good is THAT!

Your size should do well on the Versys. The Versys is a little top heavy. You can get a lowering link from Motowerks (he has lots of great stuff for the Versys) The power is a smooth easy delivery. But you can put a 16T front sprocket on it and its better. If your still having doubts check out an FZ-07

I'm 6ft & 190lbs & the Versys is perfect for me, but l have a 32" inseam, so if your legs are of the shorter variety, you may be on tippy toes all the time or get the lowering link that Joe mentioned above.
As for the power, it's not a problem as long as you have full control over your right fist!

go to a dealership and sit on one and test ride it, it can be lowered if needed but dont go to a bigger bike if you are not conferrable and confident in yourself and you abilities .
