A newbie from downunder
Just came across this forum so I thought I would take a sticky inside. I find it a bit of a confusing format but I suppose I will get used to it.
So why am I here. Well I upgraded from a Honda CB500x that I bought 2 years ago. I thought it would be a good reintroduction to riding after an absence of about 35 years, which yes, makes me an old guy. So I bought a new orange Versys 1000 this week. I settled on it because of its comparable ease of handling and maneuverability that the Honda had but with the extra torque. For a relatively heavy bike with a 1000cc this bike is a joy to ride. No longer needing to change up and down through the gears like I did in the Honda, the Versys pickup at low speeds and higher gears isn't hard work. Added to that the better quality, albeit at a much higher price, the bike fits me like a glove.
Anyhow, l look forward to some interesting discussions on the forum.
