There are 2 expressways going up and down FL with traffic stuck at redlights and stalled on expressways all day long (hint - make good time starting at midnight only.) There are also blue hairs and high school students smashing into cars at red lights. When I moved to FL in 97, the statistic for a full time motorcycle rider in FL was an average of 6 months to live. I quit riding the only time in my life because I was 'beached' in FL.

If you are talking West Central FL, there really is no good place to ride. East may be better though, but Central between East and West is no bed of roses either.

Be very careful. I saw hundreds of motorcycle accidents, and was so happy to move from Gulf central FL North FL near Jacksonville or Tallahassee seems ok and the East coast too (except for Hurricane season.) But there is nothing fun about 100% humidity stuck in traffic getting skin cancer and being a sitting duck for blue hairs who will run over you and drive off as if nothing happened (they are just popping Quaalude's.) The Law (Cops) is (are) a joke in FL. ymmv.

I have ridden in the Mt. Dora, Tavares, Howey in the Hills area.

I spent a few years boating the lakes in this area. Now perhaps a few year exploring from land.

"Click" on the member's name (above his avatar), then look for SEND A PRIVATE MESSAGE, then click on that.
