My first Aventure - Adventure's start when the pavement ends.
Took a 977 mile ride from Scarborough, Maine to NB, Canada and back.
Must visit Moose Valley Sporting Lodge, Rivière-Verte, NB E3V 3T3, Canada. http://www.moosevalleysportinglodge.com/en/index.php
My 2011 Versys is awesome. Highly recommend highway pegs. Rode 420 miles and never had to rest. 180 miles of dirt roads and trails. My Continental Trail Attack 2 80/20 tires hold up well on the dirt roads and incredible on pavement. Since they're street tires, have to go slow on the muddy sections. However, you can catch the dirt bikers once you're on dry dirt roads. Got the rider award from everyone. (hand shake and free drinks and the lodge)
Tried to get to the furthest point in Maine, Escourt Station. Unfortunately no motorcycles and ATV's on the Irving's logging roads. Will have to go from the Canadian side. Next time.. I made it to the Allagash river - the end of route 161.
