Just bumming about town

While we all dream of week long adventures, the reality for me right now is to just bum about town. And to be clear, I'm not complaining. I got in two rides yesterday. And the 93 degree sweltering weather could not stop me. In spite of never being more than 20 miles from home, I found some really cool off the beaten path roads with brief bouts of flowing twisties. It was a blast to come to an intersection or road, and just go to see what was there.

The more time I spend on the Versys, the more I come to respect what an amazing bike it is. Frankly, it appears to be all but the perfect bike for me. I say 'all but' because the seat and I are at war and vibration needs to be tamed a bit at the handlebar. Both can be addressed.

Hmm. I wonder where this goes?

Just because the black top ends doesn't mean we have to turn around.

Found the sexiest shade tree that I have ever laid eyes. I made a pile of gear and grabbed a water to cool off.

And I was rewarded with this beautiful view.

Yep, it's true love !

Nice photos. East TN is a fine patch of country. That's also a nice tail bag. What brand and model is it?

I had mine reshaped to support my legs better made all the difference.

Comparing the modified seat to the stock shape (low gel seat)

It is beautiful here. No doubt about it.

That's a Kawasaki OEM tail bag. it gets another three inches taller if need be.

Holds all my junk ie wallet, cell phone, couple of waters, helmet bag, house keys, etc.

I'm going to have to do something. For me, the seat pushes my butt toward the tank and is also too square toward the tank, putting pressure on my thighs in a weird area.

I'll do some seat homework and see where that leads.

Whereas I never had the pushing forward problem. Just needed extra leg/thigh support
