Question interested in a trip this summer?

I am going to go on a ride sometime during the summer months and inspired by the Big Trip 2009 ... guys. I have a couple of friends with motorcycles but they aren't interested in week long trips. I don't have any really firm plans except to plan to ride from the SF bay area and enjoy the roads in states such as Idaho, Montana and/or Wyoming (2-3 thousand miles) I am bringing camping gear but won't hesitate to stay in a motel if the feeling hits me.

I figured to ping my Versys forum first to see if I can see if there is any interest in joining me. Anyone out there who is interested in the route and wants to join me?

Maybe something like this.http://www.mapquest.com/mq/7-qI0n3zwAFKnT

SF Bay area --> Klamath Falls, OR --> Spokane, WA --> Bannack, MT --> Boise, ID --> Lakeview, OR --> Susanville, CA --> Lake Alpine, CA --> SF Bay area

Stop in Klamath Falls

I am in Klamath Falls and would be happy to offer you a place to spend the night and a hot meal. Just bought a 2010 two days ago and still need to get comfortable with it but might be up for riding part way with you.

don't worry, 'bum, go solo. it's the best way to travel.

In a world full of people, only some want to ride. Isn't that crazy?

Dude, you need to find you a good woman and your riding partner woes will go away. Of course there will be all new woes, but that's another story.

Smile Need some route suggestions and POIs

Have done some more trip planning and convinced my wife to join me for part of the trip. She'll join me in Spokane (fly in) and ride until Boise (fly out). I am trying a new web tool for sharing routes and you can find my route at http://www.gpsies.com/map.do?fileId=ugyiqplzvbvzzxvl

I have attached a pdf file of the route and a zip-encoded Garmin GPS database file too.

I will be taking the trip in late July and into August.

Will do a combo of camping and motels.

So ... if you care to look at the route and know of some fun things to see or do for me on the trip then reply with the suggestions.

Thanks.
