IBA SS2000k

Went for a little ride on Friday & Saturday.
Start at 04:00 at Wallsend (Newcastle), then via Merriwa to Gilgandra for fuel (through heavy fog & 5C), then Bourke (fuel), down the Kidman way to Cobar (fuel), Hillston (fuel) and Griffith, corner docket at Darlington Point, through Wagga Wagga, roadside fuel top-up near Gundagai, last refuel at Goulburn, 3C through Southern Highlands, skirt around Sydney, and finish at Beresfield at 02:52 Saturday : 2284 km on the GPS, OA of 91.1 kph.

Start 'photo:

I looked (and felt) a bit worse for wear at the end of the ride!
V didn't miss a beat, averaged 19.8 kpl for the whole trip.

[ps. The moniker is 'cos I started LD riding on a '93 Triumph Tiger, still have it!]

Congrats, Bill. I recently completed my first official SS1000 (miles) on the way to the Moonshine Lunch Run. Rode the ST1300 for that one...need to do one on the Versys now.

Hey Bill, you look just like me! Or I look just like you. No, on second thought you look better. Gentlemanly white beard and hair - well done.

Sounds like it was a very nice ride as well. I love Australian place names too. Wagga Wagga is my favorite so far. We aren't that imaginative in the US of A.

Then there's...
Wala Wala, Washington
Sing Sing Prison in New York
Bella Bella, British Columbia
Pago Pago, American Samoa
Mahi Mahi and Cous Cous, on my dinner plate...

But Australia takes the prize for doubly named places. Maybe there's an IBA "double-barrelled towns run" in there somewhere.
