Ride to Alice Springs

Going for a ride in May with this guy

We are doing around 7500 km (4660 miles) in 3 weeks (2 weeks riding, 1 week at Alice Springs) for the Ulysses AGM

Going to the worlds largest monolith and the Olgas for 2 days, should be a good ride. Keep in mind that Australia is approx the same land mass as the continental USA.

Don't hit any 'roos!

I actually lived in Alice Springs back in 1973-1975. It's where I got my very first bike. A 3.5hp green mini-bike! It's all been uphill from there. Best of luck! Oh yeah, drink at least one Cooper's Extra Stout and a Southwark. Most excellent beer!!!

Revised trip map now 8,270 km. We are including the great ocean road on the way home

Only 1 week to go

Bikes been serviced, new Angel GT's fitted, new chain and sprockets (44 on the back), brake fluid, coolant, clean air filter etc only got to fit the heated grips and pack. Just out of interest the Michelin PR2's are still in good nick the rear has 14,000 km and the front has 11,500 km.
