Fly or ride? silly question

So I have to be 500 miles away in a day. Do I fly or ride? Let's get out the checklist.

Is there ice on the road? No?

Well then, ride it is!

Whitehorse Press is going out of business so it's time for a final sale. Signed copies of my book are now $10 with free shipping in the U.S. while they last.

Well, let's see. Depending on your departure and arrival airports you could probably push your V to its destination faster. What with check-in lines, security lines, the boarding shuffle, the stuff my three huge bags in the overheads goat rope, delayed flights, and the "let's all wait and grow old together" at the baggage carousel - yep, you could push the V and arrive more quickly.

In this case, I can't legitimately claim I saved time. But I'm not at the mercy of Philly cabbies for getting around and even though the ride was uneventful, I'm sure I'll remember it longer than I would one more flight on US Airways.

Pretty much the only flight someone remembers these days are the really bad ones.

The other thing I like about this forum: Nobody (so far, at least) has pointed out to me, as if I didn't know, that the salt on the roads can cause corrosion. Hey, if my bike rusts away and falls apart I'll buy another one, dammit. It's a Versys, not a Rembrandt.

I've done a few of those rides... 400+ miles in high 30 degree weather.
Not the best of times!

More power to you!

I ride mostly in good weather, its snowing hard and we are looking at another 10 inches.

Good luck stay warm and as I like to say (Ride Free) this means body, mind, and spirit! And (Be Safe).

God Speed!

The Revzilla crew (Anthony, a another guy, a gal, and one of their big VC investors) was in my Rawhyde MC course two years ago. Quite a personality. Nice folks, seriously into the business of the business.

Someday is not a day of the week.
