Saturday, 7/25: Southern VT Ride

Sorry for this short notice, but we're pulling together a little Versys ride in southern VT for tomorrow. Right now it looks like at least 3 of us will be there. One of the three is working out some hardware issues, but my guess is that he won't be able to keep himself away.

I've sent a PM to one other Versys rider that I know lives in the general vicinity, but I'm hopeful that there are others that want to join in as well.

If anyone else is interested, post here and/or send me a PM.

I'm interested in ride to S VT

Hey, I may be interested. What time are you leaving tomorrow? I can make it down to your neck of the woods in less than 2 hrs. I wish I saw this sooner.

Okay folks. It's starting to take shape. Right now we have me, deweybrian and glowcat13 as a lock. brothercannon is coming too, he just doesn't know it yet.

For anyone in the extended area, here's the plan as it stands right now:

1. deweybrian is meeting me in Oneonta at 9am
2. The next step from there depends on whether or not we've heard from BC
3. If he's going, then we'll call GC13 and meet him in southern VT
4. If BC is a no go, then we'll call GC13 and meet him in northwestern Mass to ride some of the roads that bones tipped him about
5. I'm definitely riding all day and will stop somewhere along the way and get a hotel room for the night.
6. Not sure about the other guys, but at least GC13 is showing signs of caving in and following suit on that.

At last check weather in the area looks great for tomorrow (partly cloudy with a high of 82degF). I've already learned that weather up here can change on a dime, though, so here's hoping.

The more the merrier, so come on!

It rained a lot here around Albany tonight, so the roads are slick. I PM'd DragonBreath that after my kids are done with baseball tomorrow, I'll be free on weekends for a while. Maybe next ride I can join up.

Have fun and ride safe.

A good time was had by all.

The rain in Albany didn't make it over to VT until well after we were snug in our hotel rooms. We awoke this morning to the threat of rain, but escaped with just a very minor drizzle. After that it was great weather for the rest of the ride today.

I spent the entire afternoon detailing my bike and it still doesn't look as good as dewewbrian's did after riding for two days.

I look forward to getting together with you guys again soon. I'll try to give a little more notice next time so maybe we can rope some more members in.

Great Ride guys

We are an excellent time this weekend. It was a pleasure to ride with both Dragonbreath and glowcat13. We will surely be doing again!
