I got my bike two years ago, and since then I've made an annual pilgrimage to the Mount Evans summit (highest paved auto road in North America, closes after Labor Day). This year my friends were out of pocket, so I went solo. Still a great ride with tons of twisties and scenery that can make you miss turns. Weather was great, just my regular textile jacket, and I wasn't cold at the top
Here's the versys with South Park in the background.
And a shameless self-photo after my daring ascent to the summit (a 500 or 600 yard hike, but the difficulty factor goes way up with my sidi boots. .). Yes, that is a big drop off behind me.
Any versys riders coming through the Denver area next summer, post a message and ill try to ride with you to the summit - you will not be disappointed!!!
