The V goes on parade

Our small riding group was asked if we would lead and also patrol the sidelines for a July 1st Canada Day parade. It was great exposure for the V and best of all we managed to not run over anyone's toes.

Nice to see the V in a parade. But you are so gonna hear it for not wearing more safety gear...

I was going to mention just the opposite! I have never seen a helmet during a parade. Most law enforcement let it slide for parades..

Looks like you had fun!

funny you should mention that because I ALWAYS ride with all the gear on. that was the first time ever with a t-shirt and no gloves but I live about 1/2 a mile from there and during the parade we never went more than 20 kph so I figured it was safe.
Also it was so hot I wouldn't have survived the 2 hours.
One of the guys with his air cooled Beemer had to sit out after 1/2 an hour as it was overheating.

I would of loved to go without but the RCMP are pretty anal and I'm sure would have ticketed or warned us especially when their couple of m/c guys were wearing.
Plus if I didn't have my full-face on, people might have thought I was one of the clowns.

Garage
My veteran's group ride in the annual Warriors Day Parade every Fall. Always helmets on though we'd like to wear our old military head dress. Its a combination of law enforcement wishes as they escort the parade and close cross roads, but also very much determined by insurance and the laibility risk of the parade organizers.

Bone Stock V, 2 days after I bought it!

Always trust your cape.
