Anybody ride the Cumberlands in TN?

Most of my trips through the Cumberlands have been while either coming or going to Montana, but back in the 80s, I used to go to an ultra-marathon over in Wartrace, south of Nashville. The race route wound out through the countryside from Wartrace to Lake Norris and back. I remember thinking at the time that those roads would be fantastic for biking. We would usually take the backroads from Knoxville across the Cumberlands to Wartrace on the drive over. I'd like to start exploring some of that region on the Vee. Anybody got any suggestions for some good spots to see?

I don't particularly care for campgrounds and would rather do remote camping on Forest Service roads or something similar. Not sure there are any spots like that in the Cumberlands though.
