Didn't commit to the curve? Both passenger and ape hangars playing against him.

When I came off my C50, I remember how very easy the V was in the curves. I could take them so much faster even though my skill level was the same. I always hold back when I am riding with cruiser friends.

Since you were behind him, looks like the other cruiser was setting the pace and he just didn't make the curve.

Yep... Those ape hangers really come in handy sometimes... Not.
They're lucky they barely missed that sizeable chunk of rock in their path... and who says you can't off-road on a cruiser with ape hangers??? Walking Dead's Daryl does it all the time.

There are reasons why we didn't buy 800 pound beasts called cruisers. Videos like that remind me why I like my V

To be fair. It doesn't look like it in the video but thats a trickly little corner. Also the guy he was following doesn't take corners well he's good if he follows someone else. The only reason he was in front just prior he pulled over to take a piss and a few of us that always pull over for someone waited while the rest of the group hauled ass. The pissboy took off first. Right after that incident i jumped up to lead to guide him through the corners until we caught the group

Used to take short cuts like that on my bmw gs but would be a whole different ride on a cruiser with apes haha.

Theres something to be said for the Vs rake and steering ability. I have always felt particularly in control on my Versys, even in emergency control situations. I rode a friend's Harley the other day and got the distinct impression that it was entirely opposite in almost every way from the V. I'm not a cruiser guy I guess. I see the appeal but I never feel the appeal when I ride one. To each his own!
