Took my first longer ride on my V today...

A buddy and I went out and did a 130 mile loop...

My partner in crime...

Our trusty steeds....

There are no other pictures as we were too busy riding. My only complaint from the day was a slight hot spot right on the tip of my tail bone....no knee pain, no real back discomfort like I would get on my Ninjette. One funny thing happened...while were were sitting there talking at our gas stop, some guy drove by with his jaw hanging out the window, gawking at the V....

So this is what riding a bike that fits you feels like...

Can't wait to find out for myself what it feels like to ride a bike that fits! I'm still on my ninjette until they sweep up the streets (or until I get my crash bars installed). It was too nice out today to be stuck in the garage to get that done!

Sounds like a fun ride!

By the way, what is that weird white stuff all scattered about in the background?

Stick your head in the freezer and look at the white stuff caked around the walls and you'll figure it out....

Vitesse, my crash bars and top rack are on the way. I placed the order with Twisted Throttle at 9:45 Friday morning and they shipped Friday afternoon...should be here on Wednesday, as long as FedEx doesn't screw things up.

Either your buddy is immune to cold or has heated gear under that thin jacket!!

Enjoy your new toy and the weather will warm up one of these months-hang in there.

If you have spent any time in Minnesota you will know that these people are hearty, tough, and very crazy!

My ex was from Minnesota and I fell in love with the state in the dead of winter...ya I'm nuts!

I hope you have a great time on your V and please post pictures of your rides.

It's a dry cold...

Went to school in Wisconsin for 5 years. There's a lot folks can do outside when it's 30 below!

You'll get used to the gawking at the bike. Had mine for a year now and some guy last night stopped on his pedal bike and was asking all about mine.

It really wasn't that cold yesterday....it was in the lower 50's while we were out. I rode in to work this morning at 37 degrees because it's going to be up into the 60's this afternoon. It's all about how you dress for it, and that's one thing we know how to do up here.

Nice looking blue Versys. I too had the Ninja and it just hurt my butt to ride it all the time. The Versys is so much more comfortable to me also. Ninja was a great bike and a lot of fun but the seat got too me and i like the more upright position. Think it is for a younger body than mine. Not mind. Just body. Hey have fun. Sure like that blue one.

Yamaha Secca II
1600 Classic-sold
08 Verseys
1986 Corvette

Life is not a practice run. Enjoy each and every day.
