Hordes flocking across the Northern Border...

and I rode out to see the Snow Geese today. They visit every winter from the Arctic.
Gleaning fields of potatoes, corn, grains they can stay all winter, flying north in the
spring. The Skagit Valley, nice views.

I can report that this giant white caravan of travelling migrants has somehow snuck into British Columbia as well.The numbers seem to be rising.They come down the Pacific coast from the Artic our side of the continent. I used to work at YVR, the bird control people there said that they are very smart as a species and that they had to mix up their methods for keeping them moving...
