Sierra Pass Heaven
Just got back from criss crossing the Sierras. 900 miles in 3 days. Sonora Pass, highway 108, on day one, then skirt Lake Tahoe and up to Truckee for the night.
Day two blasted up the 89 to the 70, aka Feather River Parkway. Wonderful road with great scenery. Dropped all the way down into the valley for some lunch in Oroville. After lunch it was highway 20 thru Grass Valley and then the 80 back to Truckee. Bout 370 miles this day which was the longest. The 20 is a most delightful road.
Day three was the ride back home to Fresno. Went over the Ebbetts Pass, highway 4, then down thru gold country on a variety of roads and highways due to the 49 being closed. This is my first trip with cell phone on the bars and using Google Maps for navigation. Man this is a GREAT help. Don't know how I got along without it for so long. Don't leave home without it.
Grabbed a few pics to document the ride. I hope ya'll enjoy them.
