After the Goldrush...

Just got back from a trip to one of the biggest goldmining areas in the history of B.C. Bralorne and Goldbridge were two of the towns back in the early 1900's that were inundated with people looking for the hidden fortunes that were located in the surrounding hills. The mines ran up until the early 1970's,yielding over 4.1 million ounces of gold, and recently a few companies have went back into the area looking again...

Great photos. Tell us about the decals on your tank & side panels.

The bike is originally from Nova Scotia where the previous owner had put on the pics of the galloping moose, maple leaf and the HEL brake lines. I flew out there and rode the bike home last year, crossing through prime moose territory out there, and seeing as how we have lots of the big monsters out here too, the stickers had to stay on as they just fit. The HEL stickers have a hot angel/devil girl combo...'nuff said...

Understand perfectly about the moose thing. Here in central Maine they're more common than people, and a lot more devastating to run into! The county we live in has 1.7 people per square mile and 3.4 moose per square mile.

Maybe I need a pair of moose decals as well, particularly if they'll keep the monsters out of my path.

I may be a bit too old for the angel/devil girl combo.

I thoroughly enjoyed your post. It's great exploring old towns from a bygone era.

It is about 30 minutes north of Lillooet on Hwy 40. It is either called The Horseshoe or the Bridge River bowl. I'm going to head back up there again next year with a bunch of spare fuel and really get lost...
