Dam ride

Hooked up with my friend Don last week and rode up to the
Seattle City Light power project at Newhalem and Diablo.
Here's the photo story.

It was a real nice day, good roads and good company.

My dad used to take me camping at Diablo every year. That is one of my favorite places to go. Nice pictures.

Nice ride and pictures. I was by there in July on my way home and it was a beautiful ride. Never stopped at the dam but wish I had afterwards. Stopped at the lookout way above Diablo lake and it was a great view.

strangely familiar pics

Mr Edison, can I call you Tom?? Nice pics and I noticed I was just through that area of rte 20 a few weeks ago. A friend and I toured up to Prince George from West Virginia. We had other riders we met in Jasper, AB and they recommended rte 20 to us and we were glad they did! We loved Washington Pass!! We rode east from Sedro Woolley and went back into BC at Danville. I was on my Versys and my buddy was on a Suzuki Boulevard. The north Cascades rock...... well at least they have a lot of rock.

Oh man! Looks like you rode the V so hard it had to lie down and take a nap! Hope it wasn't a serious nap though.

Tom is fine, I live in Edison, Geeze, or is it Ole? . I was fortunate enough to live in Newhalem as a youth when my Dad was emplyed by Seattle City Light.
It is The North Cascades National Park. Highway 20 is only open for around 6 months a year due to heavy snow. There are nice camping areas along the way
and a US Park service visitors center in Newhalem.

Ride while you can

Gorgeous! I had to get the thesauros to spell that. Closest to that in the east is Fontana Dam. 10 miles SE of Deal's Gap crossroads on NC route 28. Oh you may have heard of that, It,s the eats, gas pitstop on the Dragon.
