While on Thanksgiving Leave. I rode my Versys 650 LT to visit family in Georgia trailing my wife and daughter in her car. Iíve had it on my bucket list to conquer the Tail of the Dragon for some time. Myself and my uncle went for a guys day ride. He rode his Kawasaki Conqours. What a thrill, the turns, the scenery and the fact there wasnít a lot of traffic was great. We took the Cherokee trail route back to their house to end the day. We started at 0830 in the morning and stopped somewhere around 1845 that afternoon.

Now go on Killboy to see pictures that you can buy/download iff'n you want.

Didja get a Dragon sticker? Is the Dragon Store even still open this late in the season? I was up there in late Feb and both stores at the NC28 junction were not opening until 1March.

The Dragon is much easier/more fun on the Versys than on my old c-10 Connie.

Weather depending, I plan on going up in Feb again. There was almost no one around.

Yeah, if you want true ram air tuning, you better be willing to ram some air! (SteveinSunnyFlorida)
