Moonshiner's 28

http://www.Moonshiner28.com/index.html

Rode up to the lake in western NC on Thursday and Friday morning I went for a ride with no destination in mind.

About halfway thru my ride I ended up on Highway 28 in Franklin, NC. Franklin is about the halfway point of Moonshiner's 28. I rode it to the end in Walhalla, SC.

What a great ride! Highly recommended if you are ever around western NC.

If anyone wants to get together and ride it, let me know.

X2

Rode a good portion of this on my Deal's Gap trip a few weeks ago. Wish it was closer to home though.

Next time go north out of Franklin and take 28 to Deal's Gap. Awesome. Piece together a route with the Cherohala Skyway while you're in the neighborhood.

Yup, the Moonshiner28 is an outstanding road. I always take it from Walhalla into North Carolina and up to Deals Gap to ride the whole road. Lots of awesome scenery along this stretch. There's a side road right before 129 where you can ride right up to Fontana Dam. I just picked up my Versys on Friday so I'm jonesin' big time to get back up to the Smokies and ride those roads.
