Weekender... I guess not everything in KS sucks

I decided to take something of a weekend adventure down to a friends place in OK to help him out with a rally he was hosting this last weekend.

As it turned out, he didn't need all that much help this time around... So I took the time to enjoy some side roads and found that my wife isn't the only beautiful thing in KS.

Pictures were too big for the forum and I already have them on G+:

As the year goes on, I'll try to keep adding to the album

2008 Versys - 37k miles
Givi - V35 Monokey Saddlebags - Large windscreen - Tail rack with v46 trunk
Speedy's - 1" Handlebar risers - Footpeg Lowering blocks
Osram 65W Bright replacements
Kawasaki Handguards
... And the all important gremlin bell, courtesy of my wife.

Wow, trees and hills! JK!

Curious, are those spares or did you get a good deal? My rear lasts about half as long as my front so I've never gotten a front and rear at the same time.

Ride To Live, Live To Ride....no, really!

Holy cow, trees and hills! JK

Curious, are those spares or did you get a really good deal....my front lasts almost twice as long as my rear so I've never gotten both at the same time.

The tires were replacements for both front and rear.

The rear was nearing it's end of life (BT-023 at 9800 miles) and while the front pilot road still had some life in it (roughly the same mileage, replaced both the stockers at near the same time), I really couldn't stand the tire any longer. The thing tracked horribly when it came to tar'd cracks, gravel, basically anything other than new asphalt. Not bad in the wet though.

I replaced them with RoadTec Z6's. So far, I feel favorably toward them.
