Crossing Pennsylvania

Our very own motociclista (a.k.a., Lance Oliver) has an article in the March 2012 issue of Rider magazine. Those of us fortunate to have ridden back roads across northern Pennsylvania will understand. Those of you who haven't...well, you will want to begin making plans.

My issue arrived yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised to see the article with a Versys as the means of travel. Shazaam!

Just goes to show not everyone travels on gigantic-engined heavy touring machines. Nice bike and an enjoyable article.

Read and enjoyed very much. Planning? A thorough traipsin' of PA is in my near future. Have ridden the Laurel Mtns some already and farther north had been on back burner for a coupla years...moved up front now.

Received the mag yesterday and was also excited about seeing the Versys as the bike. GREAT piece and pictures.
Also received my copy of Motor Cyclist magaizine yesterday and on page 80 (full page) under the heading of "Smart Money" was our beloved Versys!! Guess we all have a good eye for bikes. Heck, I didn't realize that the Versys was Motor Cyclist's motorcycle of the year in 2008. Sweet!

Every couple of years we head down to the Emporium, PA area and camp at the Sinnemahoning State Park for a few days. The roads are fantastic and the one we like the best is called Wycoff Run. Excellent for challenging your skills in the twistys
Beautiful scenery and the facilities in the state parks are very nice.

Rode Wykoff a couple of times last year. They tar and chipped it before fall. Should be in pretty good shape by spring.

Well, I referenced it a Rider article from 2010 (which also starred a Versys), so if the squids and pirates aren't there yet, you should be OK. Maybe they just don't read.
