My 07...Mildly Farkled

My bike is finally almost at the end of its farkling journey...just need these PR2s to wear out and get some more aggressive looking rubber to reach my happy place. It's an 07 with: bobbed rear fender, MEK bar risers, destickered then KMW stickered, IXIL can, Delkevic headers, painted screen, Aprilia mirrors, ebay levers, Nitron shock. Hope you like as much as I do

Love the blacked out OEM screen......Ofcourse I love the color...
...as for the Aprilia mirrors, Are they 'plug & play'? (simple swap????).
I got a dealer just down the street and you may have found me 'my perfect mirrors!
I trust they don't vibrate as much as the OEM mirrors............?
Thanks for the post.
Carl

DAV,

Could you post some information on where the MEK Bar Risers are from. I'm very interested in changing to something like that but a simple google searched turned up nothing

Carl, I got the mirrors from ebay UK (shortened link http://tinyurl.com/3mysdzo). A bunch of guys on the UK Versys forum recommended that seller. IIRC they take a "make an offer" of 12 GBP each and shipping was reasonable. Plug and play, much better than stock...wider, crystal clear, no movement and better looking. If you go local then as the ebay ad indicates they are mirrors for tuonos, svx550s etc.
Layne, I got the risers here http://tinyurl.com/3lwr96b . I have to say that their customer comms were pretty minimal but put that down to being a German site. My goal was to replace the stock mushroom sculpture (detested) with something better and am very happy with the end result. Important to note though, the bars will end up lower and further away from you...I like that as it suits my riding style...if you are looking to raise the bars you'd best look elsewhere. Plug and play, no probs. Never did install that weird looking tool holder doodad either.
Thanks for the kind comments

Sure thing...the levers are from ebay (shortened linky http://tinyurl.com/43wv2s9) and an easy install. You have to drift the bushing from the (trying to recall which side) I think stock clutch lever and reuse it...easy peasy. The seller is able to provide for later versys models also. I'd read one report that the finish on these would wear but have experienced no signs of wear at all after a winter in the elements (including parking by the ocean at work)
edit: woops, the link I posted is for later bikes but you get the idea!
