what 3 bikes would be in your dream stable?

I am bored at work, and it seems so many other threads drift off onto this subject so we might as well go ahead and day dream together.

TRY TO POST PICS, FOR THE IMAGINATION IMPAIRED

I have been lusting after a
  1. Triumph Tiger 800 (moderate offroad)

  2. Triumph Street Triple (track days and horsing around)
  3. and of course my Versys (overall BA do everything commuter)

I guess its fairly obvious that I like naked bikes

1997 KLR 650
2011 Halle-friggin-leuya Versys

At this point in my life...
1. 2011 KTM 990 Adventure R- for everyday riding and touring
2. KTM 450 EXC- when I want to get real dirty and be stupid
3. Ducati 1198 SP- for canyons and trackdays

Sorry, the Versys is a solid bike, but I don't think it would have a place in my "dream" garage.

Dream Garage

The first three that spring to mind, in order of lust: 1) Ducati Multistrada S Touring, 2) enough money and 3) enough free time to enjoy #1 above on an extended tour of North America. OK, the other two bikes would probably be a Honda Fury dressed up to look like Peter Fonda's American Flag chopper and a big ol' loud H-D Street Glide in all black with a FEW machined--not chromed--accents. That way, when the Harley riders question my taste in bikes, I can say,"yeah, I've got one of those at home but I like this______(fill in blank with almost anything) better! Sorry, I don't know how to post photos--any tutorials on this forum?

I would want my Yamaha RD400 Daytona back (wrecked it)

A 2011 Yamaha V-MAX

And a chopper built with my own hands. This is not one I built, just a representation.

A tough choice. Couldn’t limit to 3 only, but here is my top 5 list:
  • Ducati Multistrada 1200S Sport
  • Harley-Davidson FXDF Fat Bob
  • Triumph Thunderbird Storm
  • Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V SE
  • KTM 990 Super Duke R

I'm a simple man:
1) WRF250 for ripping around in the trails...

2) Ducati Monster 1100 just for the naked sex appeal. Not sure I'd ride it a whole lot though!

3) Wing, to fulfill my dream of going cross-country one day. Then I'd probably sell it. Pic below for giggles. I'm sure I won't be stunting on it.

2009 Kawasaki Versys - Candy Plasma Blue
2013 Yamaha WR250R

If we're just talking my person stable:

1. The V - For around-town duties and light touring.
2. A Connie 14 - For longer touring
3. A TW200 - For goofing around on trails

If it's the household stable, trade out the TW for a Monster 696 for the wife.

3 is not enough - I already have three.

That'd be...
1. BMW R1200GS or Ducati Multistrade or Moto Morini Granpaso
2. Ducati 998R
3. Yamaha Tricker or something else close to a trial bike, but everyday usuable
4. Yamaha FJR or Honda Goldwing or Honda ST1300 or Honda VFR1200
5. A really fast but tiny scooter

2008 Kawasaki Versys
1994 Honda NTV 650
1999 Suzuki AN125

Again, three ain't enough !!!

However, to keep within the spirit of the OP's thread, these would be sitting in my garage.

Manx Norton (coz my Dad had one and that'd be nice for a real bit of nostalgia)

Kawasaki 750 H2 (coz it was the first 'big' bike I was taken on the back off and it scared me silly)

RC30 (coz Joey raced one)

2009 or newer (fuel injection) Yamaha WR250r with offroad and supermoto setups

2009 or newer (fuel injection) Triumph Bonneville SE (SE has tac) this would be my everyday ride

2011 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 setup for sport touring (bags, heated grips, hand guards), not the concours because too many people have them and too heavy.

Like someone said before, 3 is not enough:

1. Velocette MSS (or Venom if you like)
2. Versys
3. MV Agusta Brutale 1099 or Triumph Tiger 800 (can't I have them both)

In my younger years, these may not have been my choices, but they sure would be now.
