Hi Guys, thought you might like to see some photo's of a recent ride I did over the Rainbow station, South Island, New Zealand. We had heavy rainfall a couple of days prior to the ride, did not help the river crossing, which ended in a good wash for the Versys! No problems though, it kept with the rest of the pack of KLR's and KTM's!
The ride across a sheep muster station lasted 106km, where I parted company with the rest of the pack, and travelled down to Ruapuna Race Track, Christchurch. What can I say other than I had a ball! Not the fastest bike there, but believe me the Versys held its own.
I was trying some new Pirelli Scorpian Syncs tyres, they performed well as an "All Rounder Tyre" big improvement on the Metzellers Roadtec Z6 off road, and nearly as good on the road. Life can sometimes be a compromise and I'm afraid this is one of them.
So the ride lasted 4 days, I travelled some 1400km, and I can't wait to do it all again!
