Back of the Dragon

Took a ride up and back, it was a quick ride with very little traffic.
There were piles of sand/pebbles in 4 of the turns, makes for some interesting moments.

I rode the "Back" last year and enjoyed it, beautiful country. Not as challenging as Deals Gap (or crowded) but a very pleasant time. Next time through Deals Gap I'm gonna cool it.....

Well, Back of the Dragon is nice, but The Tail of the Dragon (Deals Gap) is Awesome! I am glad to have done the "Back", and do recommend it if you are in the area, but The Tail is really the ride to do. Pictures are too big to share at this time.

I'm headed to the Gap the third week of this month. Forty two years of riding and I have never been there. I am looking forward to it.

Cheers,

Charlie

Are you doing the whole trip on the Versys Charlie?
How much time have you set aside for the trip door to door?

Actually we are trailing there. We have 7 days planned once we arrive. We've rented a house using Homestay.com and got a smoking deal on the home for a week. I will likely be riding alone as everyone else has dual-sports (so did I until I bought the V).

Cheers,

Charlie
