The Looney Labor Day Canyon Extravaganza

On the way.

In Utah. We strapped on our magic underwear, bid farewell to our many wives, and headed out.

M'boy's pic.

Nice scenery.

Friendly Harley fellow with stock pipes on his bike.

Australian couple who shipped the Beemer to the US for an extended tour.

We're on ADV bikes, ja?

M'boy's pics.

This rocks. Wait, this is rocks.

A little water in the desert.

Get off of the bikes and kayak a little.

Taking the scenic route.

Stretching the legs (m'boy's pic).

Another sunset.

That canyon sure is grand.

That chipmunk sure is fat and unafraid of humans.

Those curves sure are gentle and Highway-9-like.

(M'boy's pics.)

Sunset again.

I did manage to answer, on this trip, the pressing question - which bike is uglier? Answer - each is ugly in its own special way.

A moment of silence for the bugs I killed.

Thanks, y'all!

This was mostly Utah and Arizona, with some Yosemite shots on the way over.

That's what I thought, but for some reason I thought I had read that you were in New Zealand or something. Maybe fill in your profile????

Isn't the curved river pic from Zion?

Great pics! So where is the kayak strapped down to the bike? I'm guessing you rented kayaks.

Thanks, it was great fun.

It's a little-known fact that the 'Strom can double as a kayak... (We rented them at Lake Powell).

The curvy river is a sad offshoot of the Colorado.

The V had over 9K on it when I bought it, so it's over 10K now. My track Ninja 650 had 13,88x when I took a glance at the odo at Sears Point this weekend. These bikes have some life.

Looks like Bryce Canyon and then the Grand Canyon. Funny, I have been to Bryce about 5 times, all in the winter. would love to see it without snow. Awesome pics guys- and the part about the magic underwear and wives cracked me up. Loved the pictures of the V in the dirt, too. Great stuff.
