Ride to the end of Hwy 20 from the west side

I had a nice ride up Hwy twenty to the closed gate at the
Ross Lake trail head. Here are some pics starting with a
tree in the Skagit river

Diablo lake and Diablo Dam

Glad for the heated grips and vest. Road surface was clear and dry.
Probably another couple of months before the road opens.

Ride while you can

Thanks. I'm using a Nikon D3200 with a Nikon 18-55mm lens
and a polarizing filter.

I REALLY like how you "dragged" the shutter to get those drips from the snow on the branches...!

Spent last week on the other side in Okanagan Co. doing site prep for fire victims from Omak to Twisp. Only snow we saw near the road was at the summit of Loup Loup Pass.

The highway opened, the weather was good and the road surface dry.
Clark's Cabins and resturant in Marblemount always serves coffee and
fresh made cinnamon rolls for people twaiting for the gate opening, this
year was no different. The owner, 94 year old Tootsie Clark was in attendance
as usual, she is the official gate opener on the west side. Here's the photo story.

I rode with the FJR's this year

Washington Pass with Liberty Bell Mt.

If your ever in the area don't miss this great ride!!

Well since this was brought back from the dead already and I'm new, I'll leave some comments.

Love the pics man, that looks like a wonderful ride! I've done 20 once (well twice coming back) on my way to the Bend area with a friend, but it was the summer.

I miss the PNW so much, I'd love to move back I just need an excuse and a means of work there. There's nothing like those mountains and passes. The only caveat with living here is the practically all year riding weather.

Great pics!
