Looks cool, probably a normal Versys with all the OEM accessories and marketed as a tour version. Can't really tell too much since I don't speak Italian. They should do that here- probably get more sales movement if they had a package deal.

great post- thanks

RED, WHITE, BLACK, SILVER ...

yup seeing as the UK is in Europe, and its serviced out of Kawasaki Europe from the Netherlands its going to get the same products as elsewhere in Europe

As to how the various Kawasaki importers make their choices of products and colours is a mystery to me. the Versys has alwasy been 'odd' it arrived in the US 1..2 years late in one colour only, subsequent colourways seem to follow the EU, ie are 'last years' colours. althouigh I don't hinkl blue was a 2009 colour.. could be wrong on that.

IIRC Australia until recently only got the cnady green

you would have thought that they would have a common colour / build accross the world but that doenst' seem to be so.

I think the 'touring / GT' versions were introduced to flesh ou thte range, and offer a little bit more for the cash, especdially when Kwasaki started jacking up the price over the last 3 years or so. they also give the dealer a little bit more flexibility on prices

ultimatley who cares, just go ride

I have noticed the new z1000 is now Candy Lime green, not the Kawi green.

Interesting configurations on the bike. Honestly for me, half the fun is the Farkles. I like spending a little less on the bike, then piecing it together how I like it.

They look nice tho. I do like that mirror style!

Interesting. I didn't realize that Italian for "the week end" is "il week end."
Also interesting is the 8419 Euros price listed for the Versys Touring version. That's almost $11,530 Uncle Sam dollars! Shazaam!

Would you believe it if I said I had to take a peek in the garage? For a minute I thought they had stolen my Versys! Nah, I didn't think so.

Wow! Ä 21,90 / USD30 for a set of 10 mm spools

I think that is more than Kawasaki Canada

Although I have had Miss Jaffa (Burnt Orange 2007 Versys) for a while, I still have a lot to learn.

Nothing new from Kawa, as the 09 came with the same set and it was Kawa special offer. My Blue is the same set as the Italian Tourer.

Looks nice though.

The website lists a part number for the tank protector. Maybe call your local dealer?

I like that wind screen....probably won't work on an 09....I have the old style Varo anyway which is close but that one looks taller.

I was talking to a guy who was a Kawi dealer about Kawi colors. He said if they get burned on a color ( aka it doesn't sell) they wont reintroduce it. They are trying to protect their dealers.

Wierd they'd make it a MODEL. Basically, that's what I'm ordering: a 2011 Versys + ABS, extended windsheld, sidebags, handguards, sliders. That's it...

Price about the same, if it's without ABS and sliders, so... nope, IMO it's just a commercial gimmic

Or perhaps it's Kawasaki recognizing that this package of options creates an attractive bike that's all ready to go touring. Seems less like a gimmick and more like offering customers what they want. Either way, it's how I'd probably buy a new V and it's not far off how I bought mine used.

I think the Versys makes a great single rider tour bike.................has great power for the highway, and gets good gas mileage even with a load.
