Motowerk Bending Plate

I was finally able to trailer my Versys 650 home from Miami yesterday and upon inspection of the bike, I discovered it has a Motowerk lowering kit installed. The forks don’t appear to have been adjusted and are stock height, but based on the installation instructions from Motowerk, a “bending plate” was used to twist the mount that holds the preload adjuster.

I need to acquire one from a forum member who is willing to let me borrow it temporarily so I can bend my mount back to out the preload adjuster in its original position.

I’ll obviously pay shipping both ways and forward you a deposit if there’s fear I’m not going to send it back.

If anyone can help me, I’d really appreciate it. Or if there’s a way to reset the adjuster mount without the plate, I’ll take some advice on that.

Thanks!

I have that plate, but I'm not sure it will help. You don't really bend the plate with it. It's kind of a spacer to show you how far to bend the mount which you just bend with a crescent wrench.

I guess you could attach this to bend the mount back.

I believe you’re correct, it’s two fold. The correct distance, but also the leverage it offers when prying with the wrench. I think it would be much more difficult to bare wrench it back to its original position.

Would you mind if I “borrowed” that plate to restore the adjuster mount back? I’d really appreciate it.
