Moved into a old garage and space is tight with 2 bikes + car + tools. I'd love a center stand, but have a hard time justifying $250-300 for it new online.
I extended this stand because my bike is lowered and the fender interfered with the handle. I use this primarily to lube the chain while at home, and can move the bike while up on the stand as there are wheels mounted, you could add a third wheel at the handle to raise is 1/4 inch then put a piece of 3/8 plywood under when you don't want it to move.
I did bite the bullet and buy one of SW Motech's centerstands for my '15 650LT. Nearly $300 if I recall correctly. They really do make working on the bike and changing tires much easier. Won't help you now but may have the centerstand available later this year. Thinking seriously about a new KTM 790R.
I might be interested in your center stand when you go to sell it. Its difficult to pay for something that should've come on the bike. My bikes in the 80's had center stands and self-cancelling turn signals. They're called accessories today.
I have a center stand agreed for $152 from England, but I haven't heard back from the guy in a couple days. China is shipping their center stand for near $200. I'll check back later this Fall to see if you went the KTM way.
I traded my 06KTM525exc for my first 09KLE650 last October.
