Handle bar mits

Has anyone tried installing handle bar mits (like what would be on a snowmobile or ATV) on the Versys? If so, what brand? Did you have to modify to make them work?

I like the idea, but I'm afraid they might hold the brake light on or get caught in the clutch lever joint.

Any thoughts?

I use Mitts on the Versys and now on my FJR no issues with them. Just did this video using the Mitts yesterday.....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfz_MEellTY

I got mine from Amazon. Just search for ATV Mitts....

OK, that is what I'm concerned about. I've heard of brake lights being on in the wind and trouble like that.

not if they are over hand guards

I'm so used to hand guards now that I forget some people don't have them.

I have a set of "Hippo hands" that I've used on my 2001 Concours and have adapted to my 2014 Versys. In order to get them to work over the mirror stalks I've installed large brass grommets and just screwed the stalks through the grommets. The pictures show two sets. One is for the connie and the other is obvious.

They are stiff enough to stand on their own without collapsing and allow free motion of all the controls inside the mitts themselves. For the most part with the exception of riding of an entire day in the pouring rain I've not had any issues or failures of any sort.
