My Versys ready for travel

This is my versys the way I envisioned it. 3 each 12V outlets for gadget charging, extra lighting, Corbin seat & Yoshimura exhaust. Ready for a 2,500 to 3,000 mile trip from Seattle to Mt. Rushmore. Going with 3 Ulysses & 1 VTX1800. Maybe the Versys can show those Buells a thing or two (my brother is riding one). Leaving Friday, July 9th. It's been a year in planning. Can't wait!

Have Fun

Two questions:

1. What are the stickers on your Pelican cases

2. Does your number plate flip up on purpose or accident

Although I have had Miss Jaffa (Burnt Orange 2007 Versys) for a while, I still have a lot to learn.

That's really awesome looking! You taking I-5 south or I-90/Hwy 2 across the state? Be safe and enjoy time away!

Are those the stock D221's? How many miles do you have on them? Keep in mind that tires wear a lot faster when you have the bike loaded like this and they stay hot all day (not just when the outside temps are high, but that doesn't help).

Packed nicely!

What do you do when you stop for a break? Are you comfortable leaving the soft bags on the bike?

Can't go wrong with the #2 or the #20 across the state...I-90 is less fun, but faster.

Great looking bike though. You've got it kitted out nicely. Hope you have a great trip

It has been a while since I have been on hwy. 20...nice ride. Be sure to check out Beartooth pass and Chief Joseph hwy if you have time. Probably the sweetest motorcycle roads I have ever been on. Bar none (YMMV). And then alt 14 from Cody east. FYI Lovell is a speed trap.
Love the way you have the scoot set up. Have a safe trip! looking forward to the ride report.

Sounds like a great trip!!
Make sure you take the Iron Mountain Road from Keystone to Custer State Park. You and your V will love it! In fact, the road in the park are pretty good too. Just watch out for the bison.

Nice setup.
I'm digging the lights in the back of the cases.... stock with the cases? something Pelican offers? or you fully rig that up yourself?
