Mounting on 2010 V

I am trying to decide where to mount a DC power port (cigarette lighter style) on my 2010 V and there is not much of a dash to do it. Does anyone have any pictures of how you have mounted doo dads on your 2010 V?

As cigarette lighter jack & plugs really aren’t well suited for use on a bike (with the water & vibration issues, etc.) you might want to consider mounting a Powerlet jack instead, and then, either putting Powerlet plugs on your device(s) or using a Powerlet/Cigarette Lighter Adapter.

As for mounting.., Powerlet also offers a number of different brackets & options. See http://www.powerletproducts.com

FWIW, On items that I use all the time, e.g., my GPS & Radar Detector, I hardwire them and use the device’s own disconnect when I take them off.

PS Edit:
Before you start drilling... You might want to save the dash areas for something like these http://digilander.libero.it/JH61
.
