Bar End Mirrors?

Guys,

Has anyone fitted any Bar End Rear View Mirrors on a 2015 650 Versys? If so, any brand recommendations???

I removed the End caps, which were a pig to get off, and it seems there is a threaded part only so not sure what type will fit. See photo.

Asking around for some advice.

Cheers,

Darius.

I have not done this yet, but would like to. (For some odd reason, my bar ends came off very easily despite the visual presence of red loc tite on the threads.) Anyway.

I was going to try some inexpensive ones off flea bay. Here are 2 common examples readily available there for a good price:

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Motorcycle-7-...1f3826&vxp=mtr
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-Aluminum-...4cc67c&vxp=mtr

With both of the above examples, the mirrors are designed for hollow bars, not threaded bars like the V. However, my thoughts are that the expansion hardware that comes with the mirrors can be ignored allowing you to use your original bar end screw through the ends/caps of the new mirrors and mount them that way.

I think they will mount up OK and for the low cost I'm willing to try. The con may be that eliminating those solid bar ends will create more vibe in the bars.

Thoughts?

i bought some used from a member here. They work great. I can actually see what's coming up behind me. I do not remember the brand, but they fold in.

Among other things most likely. Solution? Don't fall over.

They wouldn't be real good for lane splitting, but they would anchor the bar end weights nicely for the optimum leverage (good for reducing vibration, if it all doesn't absorb in the mirrors themselves - tell us how it works out!) They look cool.

I got some of the really nice CRG Lane splitter or Hindsight mirrors, and put on the Rhino bar ends to accommodate the fitting. I have an extra pair of the mirrors, having lost my original purchase during a house move, only to find them after purchasing a new set. I will probably post them for sale in the next couple of weeks, but was not planning on selling the Rhino bar ends so I can remain flexible on which look I want. Be aware that if you put on that type of bar end, that is about .75 inches longer than the stock, you can not put on OEM or many types of hand guards.
