Thumbs up New Softbag Mounts

I just got these today and installed them it took about 15 minutes. It was as simple as changing out the hardware and adjusting the mount to where I wanted it. When I first put bags on they would droop into the tire area so this fixes that and lets your bags hang correctly even full.

The brackets are constructed of aluminum and are very
good quality. here are some install pitures.

They have email only right now I asked the same thing. Supposedly they are putting together a new website and will be offering up some new things for the 2010 models.

"gold plated" I did check local for a fabshop to build some before I went with these and was quoted 50HR for welding plus aluminum and powdercoating and the 50 and hour for bending. so it was sort of a no brainer. I couldn't cobble up something for that price! I tried flatbar it looked HORRIBLE!

Yea, that's pretty expensive. My soft bags don't really sag that much and I suspect that people with bags sagging into the wheel are not properly installing them.

Although I would be interested if they were like 20 or 30 dollars.

Where did they bolt to. Looks like just one bolt, is that right?

That is correct one bolt , once they are tightened they dont go anywhere. They have a star like washer that cuts into the bag mount andkeeps it from spinning plus It doesnt really have any downward force on it..

And I would be interested in a new escalade for 5000.00 , I don't think you could buy the materials for 20.00 " id just stick with your saggin bags"
I didn't see any other options at the time unless you want to make me a pair for my other bike for 30.00 I will gladly accept

Didn't mean to offend you versys4me. But I think you misread what I wrote. I wrote that I don't have an issue with sagging bags and if one did have an issue than perhaps they are not being installed properly. I would be interested in them but not for close to a hundred bucks. I'm very cheap....

By the way, I'm also not a fabricator. I have no idea what the materials cost. All I know is what I'm willing to pay for something like that. Since it's not necessary, I'm not willing to pay that much.

Keep me posted, I was looking at my '08 and looking at his pictures and concluding they should fit. Wish the price was as high, but with the camping my soon to be wife and I want to do, I am going to need more support when they are fully loaded.

Ahem, and I also wonder what Speedy's take is on this.

I like them. Think they serve a purpose well, and are pretty cheap (remember, the guy isn't just selling them for material costs, but spending time doing it, and I'm assuming trying to make a buck or two).

I will put them on my list of things I will purchase over time. Still way cheaper than hard luggage.

Effin' tight dude, huge improvement to the look of the bike. The price seems reasonable, especially if it means using bags you already have. Good score.

They look great, good find buddy. I think the price is totally reasonable too.. it's not like the material magically mends (holy alliteration) itself together, someone's gotta do it and I doubt it's done via mass production. Thanks for the post.

Talked to James at Versys Preformance tonight, have a batch going to the powder coater, should be ready in a couple of weeks and he will be contacting me. Checked with the parts break down and the ladder frame is the same part number between the 09 and the 10 so the panniers should work. Also apparently there are two sizes, the Cortechs take the small he said. James has a 2010 Versys and is working his way backwards for add ons. He is mainly focusing on the 10's right now and hopes to have web site up soon.
Hope all have safe weekend!!

Had i known these were available a month ago, i would have gotten them. I ended up with a members used sw motech saddlebag racks, they work great though, and wasnt too much more than what you got. Great idea, and not what id call i bad price.
