Cool my latest cosmetic improvement

just installed my tapeworks rim tape tonight!

that's how it should have been from the factory

its just a slightly lighter blue than the stock versys blue, but it looks good! its also reflective, so better visibility at night too.

EDIT: I typed in y instead of t in latest in the heading. can someone change that for me please?

You must have a steady hand.
It would be a rectangle if I tried that...

Good job. Is that a Seat Concepts seat by chance??

its actually pretty easy to do with the tool they have called the stripe-it-all. what took me the longest was cleaning all the gunk of the rear wheel!

http://www.tapeworks.com/stripeitall.html

and yep, its a seat concepts seat on there. my rear hasn't complained once since its been on there.

yeah, I have a weakness for blue vehicles. the firebird was my first car, and the sonic is my fourth. I had two red trucks in between though, a 93 f150 with a 305 and 4 speed manual(I miss that truck) and a 2003 dodge ram 2500 5.7 auto(MONEY SUCKING MACHINE).

Those reflective wheel strips are hard as hell to do unless you have a bike lift. I wish I had let a shop do mine. I press wrinkles out every now and then on my contrasting red rim tapes (when I see a wrinkle.) Mine was hard since I got a dried up backing material, and it took me forever to peel mine off for about half the pack (an ebay special for full retail.)

If anyone buys them, it would be worth the time to correspond with the vendor first to make sure the backing material paper is not dried up. It adds hours to the job if they are dried up, and seems impossible at first to make sure you cover your wheels by peeling all of them off.

It changed my tune from a happy buyer to a pissed off buyer, and I had several wrinkles partly due to them by hurrying up (I wasn't planning to spend half a work-week on peeling dried up stickers off the backing paper.)

I know I wouldn't have tried it unless I could get the tire I was working with, off the ground. that made it so I could hold the stripe-it-all in one spot and just turn the wheel while applying pressure to the tape. the backing just peeled off the rim tape as I turned the wheel. with the help of the $25 harbor freight stand, it made it easier than changing the sparkplugs on my friends s10 pickup!

Looks like that color matches the bike perfectly. We here at Tapeworks were wondering if we could use your images on our site, what do you think?

Its just a slightly lighter blue than the stock blue in the light, but in the shade its almost perfect. I think its the reflective qualities that cause that, but i love it!

If you want, I could get some with a little bit better scenery than my house and cars in the backround and put them here for you to use. What size would you want them?
