Denali D4's, Touratech Garmin Mount & Givi Monokey Frames

Last few additions to the bike put on last night with a bit of commentary:

The Givi Monokey mounts are great! The instructions may have been written by a drunk Italian and are a little difficult to follow at times but once its all together it makes for a great system. LOVE that the side frames can be removed with six quick release attachments, makes for a cleaner look when not hauling luggage.

with the frames

without the frames but with the quick release brackets in place

The Denali D4's are bright...REALLY BRIGHT! Install was a piece of cake with the SW-Motech brackets and everything tucks away nicely behind the lower fairing. Didn't use the supplied relay & switch and instead wired it into one of the PDM60 circuits and an aux switch.

The Touratech mount for the Garmin 660 is slick. Takes cradle that's included from Garmin and when you lock the frame around the 660 its very secure. Not sure I'd leave it on the bike parked outside overnight but IMO certainly robust enough to keep it from being nicked while parked for lunch, etc. Its attached to the handlebar with a Ram u-bolt mount and 3" arm.

What was your criteria for the luggage mounts? I'm currently looking to outfit my new (to me) 650 with some touring bags, and love the idea of have removable frames when I'm not loaded to tour...

Not quite sure I understand the question of what was my criteria.....

I liked the Givi Trekker luggage which sort of dictated that I bought the Givi frames. That they're removable was just an added bonus.

If you're looking for generic side frames to mount softsided luggage to these might not be the best choice as there's no tie down anchors just the posts and knob for the Givi monokey bags.

a few more pics:

looking towards the back of the bike...Ram B-ubolt on the bars, metal 3" arm w/pinlock "key"

with the cradle open and little garmin safety cover on top of the pins

Ram B mirror mount, metal 3" arm and garmin cradle

and replaced the stock levers with a pair of shorties...thought the green would have been a better match, in retrospect would have gone with just the black

Marvin - please post a pic of HOW your bags attach to their racks, both INSIDE and OUTSIDE the bags.
