Corbin seat question

I have a 2013 Versys and I'm interested in purchasing a Corbin seat. They say they don't have one for the 2013 model though but "may" later this year. Does anyone know what the difference is in the seat brackets between the gen 1 and gen 2? I'm just curious if I could make some modifications to make the seat fit the 2013 model.

Thanks

Corbin makes good seats for some bikes. I've had 7 seats on my Versys and the Corbin was the worst out of the 7.....

I always buy the Corbin seats and then send them off and have them modified.

Yeah, sounds retarded, I know - but in the end, it's what works for me.

in what way did it suck? which saddle was the best?

In a world full of people, only some want to ride. Isn't that crazy?

Most people find them too hard. They also usually use rather slippery covers. I personally prefer both. In a showroom, a soft seat is very comfy. After eight hours on your bum, it's not so great. I can ride Corbin's all day. I also like the slippery cover as it makes it easier to move around on the seat in the twisties.

The best part of Corbins is they are built like a lead anvil. You can't hurt the damn things. I had one that I used on two different bikes for over 70k miles and about 6 years; and it still looked damn near new when I sold it for half of what I paid for it.

Corbin too hard and the material on the edge of the seat is easy to tear or get wear spots. As far as the best for me, It depends on what kind of riding your doing. Lots of freeway and long trips I'd go for the Russell Day-Long. For everyday city, highway and canyons i'd go with the Seat Concepts then next would be an Adcock Seat then a Baldwin.
