What happened to the new 2010 accessories?

I was looking at Kawi's new 2010 accessories catalog today (dealer copy) and was a bit bummed. Not much in there from the factory. For the 2010 about all they list are an MRA tall windsheild, MRA Vario, tank pad (same as 2009 but white or silver lettering), and knee pads (????). What happeded to the 5 setting heated grips, hand guards, and they don't even list any luggage racks for it. I though Kawi had a press release that they would have them. I know you can get all this from aftermarket (that's where Kawi gets them) but was interested in what they would offer factory. I don't think the windsheilds are even available yet either.

I'm really getting impatient to get some luggage (PLXV35's and a top case) but Twisted throttle specifically lists the rear SW motech rack as "does not fit 2010". I'm guessing when they they must have changed something with the grab handles and it interferes?? Anyone tried the side racks on a 2010? No one lists them as fitting the 2010's either.

I've already got some Powermadd hand guards but the I don't especially like the Oxford heated grips controller. Was hoping for something like they use on the concours with a knob. Anyone know who makes them?

Weather is getting good enough I'm eagar to take a long distance trip but need the luggage, sheild, and maybe heated grips first.

The Kawasaki-UK site lists handguards, cases and other stuff. Looks like we in the US will continued to be the step children to the European market.

The UK Givi and SW motech sites list racks for the 2010 now. They all have different part #'s from the 06-09. Givi offers the new PLXR (removable) style side racks. They also lists engine guards?? No pics of any of them.

SW motech has some hand guards listed that look like Barkbusters

Hope Twisted Throttle gets some soon or going to have to start checking exchange rates.

Australia waiting to

I am holding off buying Barkbusters until I see the hand guards and the same with the heated grips. I was researching heated grips and like the heat demons becuase of the switch and the limited reviews look good.

They only just listed the windscreens here and nothing else.

waiting waiting waiting

2010 accesories

Did you see the picture of the handguards on the UK site?

http://www.kawasaki.co.uk/Versys

Not a very good picture put they look nice. I'd like to see a better picture. I like the way my Powermadd's look. They match the mirror shape well but they are smaller and don't have the metal wrap part. I don't really care about crash protection just wanted them to keep the wind off. They work pretty good for that. Only drawback is the mounts move the mirrors in about 1/2".

I just brought the Barkbusters Storm S4 + mounting kit but the shop was not aware that there is special end bar weights just for the Versys fitting. I picked up the kit less the weights and fitted them using two nuts where the end weights are supose to go. On the commute home I was very surprised, aside from my hands being warmer, there is hardly any vibrations. It has appeared to fix the vibration problem in the handlebars. Still need a windscreen the buffering is driving me mad!

Ask and ye shall receive. They are not in stock yet. There is an expected delivery date of 7/5/10. http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade...view/5420/788/ The part number is KFT.08.725.200 so hurry up and get one on your bike and send me a picture. As you can see I lack an image of it on an actual bike.
