Tank mount GPS/Camera Mount
Sportbikecam.com makes a camera mount that attaches to the gas cap. You can just buy the base of this mount and then purchase a 1/4" by 20 Ram Ball mount to attach a mulitude of items. I have used this system on my Futura and FJR and it works great. Especially since I use an Iway 500c hard drive GPS. As you drive down the road place your hand on the gas cap and you will notice much less vibration than mounts that attach to the windshield, steering head, or handlebars. The mounting plate is about 30-35 buck by itself.

I'd be concerned that if I were in an accident, my " sporting tackle" would suffer terrible wounds from that device. I'd rather keep the tank free of hard things to run into. I'm sure it is very functional, but, as I've said I have safety concerns with it.
