Padded sissy bar rack for 2012 Vs. 650

I had a Hondaline padded sissy bar rack on a 1993 Honda Nighthawk 750 and loved it. With a couple of tie down straps, you could tote all sorts of things. Plus, it was not a blimp of air-resistance going down the highway like a trunk or saddle bags (w/max 55mph limit.) I've had all the big bags and trunks before. When you get over 55mph, you feel like Elvis Presley with swivel hips from all the air resistance.

Basically, I think it could be constructed from a flexible rear rack with two squares peg-holes toward the rack-front to put aluminum extrusion bars in (like on Surface Mount hi-tech workstations in manufacturing.) Then. just place a pad between them, with a pouch hanging on the back.

A Chinese vendor recently copied the Hondaline sissy bar/racks and visually did a good job. Too bad there is no sissy bar/racks to copy for the Vs. I'd buy one in heartbeat. But it would be better if it was engineered before I installed it (can't have everything ha ha.)

Here is a DL650 home-made option below. Of course with all the options available for DL650's, they probably have store-bought sissy bars like on Honda 750's. I guess the tall saddle keeps the Vs. from being as popular - ??
