Side marker lights???

Just wondering if you guys have ever thought about running some side markers for visiblity and added safety?
Just mocked some up on the bike to see what it would look like from the side. The bike is not very visible from the side without them.
Side markers might make it a lot safer with the added visibility?

Lol - I just installed front and rear LED type round lights (side markers) but I opted to have them only come on with the turn signals and brakes. I tried them 'always on', they looked OK and would certainly add to safety, was just not for me.

Yup, just stick a few of these

just tap the power from your rear brake line and/or the "city light" above the headlamp and you're good to go.

BOTH my Vs have LARGE aluminum panniers, and they both have reflective yellow decals on the sides that REALLY light up. Here's a pic of the Canadian one using a flash to simulate headlights:

one of my winter projects is the red LED engine/underbody lights - that's my side profile lighting plan.
already have all the waterproof led strips, just need time to install.

I was just thinking about adding side lights the other day as I was riding around on the freeway in pouring rain. I really like what you did. Would you share with us the lights you used?

I used penny marker lights.
These are from princess auto.
Just need to drill a 3/4" hole and your done!
Then wiring of course ....

The rear lights plug into the harness for my bag lights under the seat. When the bags are on the lights are hidden behind them but not working.

I put red side marker lights on my GIVI rack a while back.

I really do like them and plan on putting yellow ones somewhere up front soon.
