plastics quick releases

i was just wondering if anyone has tried any quick releases for the plastics on the versys (08) to replace the Allen bolts.....seems like it would make like alot easier if you have to lets say get to your coolant tank on the side of the road so you dont have to remove 1000 different sized bolts

You don't take the windscreen off to get to the coolant

Quick release fasteners like Dzus or camlocs need a special receptacle in place of the threaded nuts that the stock bolts use. It would be a big project to remove the welded in nuts and replace them with quick release receptacles.

The thought on both types of quick screws is great. Then I think about the people wandering by the bike, seeing the screw and just deciding to take it or loosen it. I got and adaptor from sears, like in photo, and keep the correct sized hex bit in it for the windscreen. Drop that tool in the trunk and I'm all set.
