made new side panel

Hi,

I moved my footpeg assembly back 2'', so i couldn't use the stock sidepanels anymore.

So, I bought some ABS plastic and just made a new right side.

I like it better then nothing, so i'll go make the other side now.

my butt is not forward , that is right where i sit.
that brace starts right at the stock seam, but is vertical to keep my but right there under hard acelerations, and it works.

my spine doesn't like the shifting back and forth under hard acelerations.

it works for me and lets me ride a motorcycle again after 25 yrs years off one because of a bad back.
That is what i'm trying to achive.

you know, your a little skeptical of what i do all the time.
i do what works for me.

dave

D, where did you get the ABS plastic? I'm thinking of making a fender extender out of it.

I got it here;
http://www.indplastic.com/index.cfm?...owse&pageid=41

I bought some .040 and .060
don't think i seen that on there site, ask for Joe.
thats who made me a great deal on it.

it cuts easy with a razor knife.
just score it, then bend it to break it clean.
you can also put a heat gun to it and bend it to shapes.

"you know", your a little touchy/defensive buddy - just enquiring why the unsual setup, or is it, your really hurt I dont like the drywall sidepanels look? but then dont ask opinions.

FYI - I've a recent severe L4/5injury could'nt walk for 2.5 years, and I race - go figure?

I've got to give a close look at the fender. I've got dual brake lines on the way so that will free up a couple of factory holes. Besides, I have all winter to work on it.

yes, i did edit it out, decided not to even go there.

like you said, i'm just sharing with the class.

just playing around with different things, it's what i do.

I don't like it that much either, but i didn't like it with nothing there even less.
then again, i don't really like the style of the bike that much anyway, but i sure love the bike though. (if that can makes sense)

no harm , or bad feelings here, it's just a hobby i'm having fun doing.

dave

here's the left side.

covered up alot of stuff i really didn't care to look at, works for me, for now anyway.

i put a few more contours in this one.

p.s. thats a little road rash patch on the upper fairing, not there for styling. :-)

No way, you did what? edited your post!... "nice", that's playing it fair!

Twice now you've posted up your panels, never said a word till you asked for opinions. And tried to help you out on the reasets and posted a diagram, and your giving me a hard time for some bizzaro reason. Wish hadnt have bothered.

FU .....what battle ??? Are you saying your intentinally trying to have a battle , this how you get your kicks, trying to over react and undermine fellow forum members . It's not as though he totally overreacted to your 1st post , yours have been bit sarcastically ignorant ............. I chose to reply to the post because I simply wanted to , that is what a public forum is for , if you want some one-on-one man time with him , them send a Pm . Have a good night cupcacke .......ok , I am bored of you now........next

This thread has been closed due to rule violations. If this issue spills into another thread and causes more problems, infractions and bans will have to be dealt.

Please keep it calm and clean, not everyone has to agree with eachother's opinions, but fighting it out will only cause problems.

Thanks
