Hugger

Anybody added a hugger on their Versys and if so did you purchase it in North America?

Thanks

Thanks for the link, but the only place mentionned that is North american is Frog Specialty or e-bay($$$) and in my case, they do not have the Kawasaki Orange color.

Anybody else know of a Canadian or US accessory dealer for hugger and extenda fender

I guess I could order from Frog and have it painted locally.

I ordered the burnt orange color paint so that I could paint the hugger, extenda fender, and Givi luggage inserts. Here are links for the paint suppliers:

US - Color Rite
http://www.colorrite.com/CRPLfactory...imageField.y=9

Canada - Best Buy Autoparts (Color Rite Distributor)
http://www.dpars.com/colorrite_options.aspx?man_ID=934

Hope that helps.

this is great help. Just a few questions.

Did you use the spray can and if so did you use their base color before and clear after?

Also, where does your extenda fender come from?

thanks for the good tips!

Goobiwan,

went to look on the superbikestore website and could not find the Ermax hugger. They just had their version without the chain guard.

Send them an email, and ask for it specifically. They will be able to source. They were quite good...

actar911,

I purchased the extenda fenda from ebay. The seller was 'biking direct', but the manufacturer is Pyramid Plastics from the UK.

I have not used the paint yet, but will report on it as soon as I get a chance.

Thanks guys,

sent superbikestore an e-mail and they responded that they do not carry Ermax anymore that these products are distributed by street fighter by design out of CA

www.streetfighterbydesign.com

I did not see any parts for the Versys on their website, so sent them an e-mail.

Will keep you posted

[email protected] is the contact address. I fitted both the hugger and the belly pan and they look really good on the bike.

I'm definitely a fan of the Ermax hugger, but would have liked to try the Pyramid Plastics as well... Both in my opinion look very good.

My only complaint with the limited installation instructions, is the clamp bracket for the rear break line, and oh, one other thing, the black tie-wrap that you're supposed to affix to the left side swing arm. On the http://www.versys.co.uk site, alot of folks have not put it on?? Me, I did, and will try and hide it appropriately.

I got this one, came from Germany via UK and with the weak US$, its was expensive---but I'm worth it.

Chose this one because it had the best coverage of the electrics in front of the rear wheel. Some folk on in the UK who have had their Versys a long time have complained that the constant stream of water the electrics bath in below the seat has caused some problems. This hugger should eliminate that issue.

Same with me. I saw it on the site and made the order, but then called yesterday to ask if they even have them in stock. Jennifer politely cancelled my order with no questions. I would not say they are frauds, many internet companies publish items they do not have in stock.

Order from Frog Specialties.

frogspecialties.com/index.php?categoryid=26

Philippe expects an order within two weeks and he charges about $50 less than Versyshop. Email him for an order form. Super nice guy to deal with and you can practice your French if you want.

Danomar, please indulge my reasoning for using the 'fraud' charge. On advrider.com,on the 'versys owners checkin thread, page 64,'kynosis' wrote about his/her experience.Over the course of 2 months he hassled with the company. Now I know that they have had time to adjust their website.Their lack of attention to this for whatever reason is to me fraudulent behavior.Just my humble opinion,certainly...p.s.,thanks for the info on frogspecialties.Do you have to know French? I took Deutsch.
