New SW-MOTECH Soft Bags (Twisted Throttle)

These look real nice, brand new so there's no reviews yet:

I'm thinking about them for the Tiger. They'd work well on the V too, and with no high exhaust would be less wide.

Not a cheap solution - they are a top tier solution, but damn nice for camping trips, touring, etc.

Still some answered questions like, how wide are they, can you lock them easily to the bike, etc...

Did you look at the links? It includes the rack frame, etc. It's not just two bags slung over the seat. Bikes with high exhaust would melt the bags, for example. Granted the V doesn't have that problem.

Yeah I did see that. I can see that it has its place and it's definite benefit......it's just a bit of sticker shock.

This includes a bike-specific carrier that isolates the bags and keeps them in place so they are not unsettling the bike or the rider. The waterproof bags are of superior quality and about 1/2 the cost of a set of hard panniers and required carriers.
