Two Luggage racks?

Hey Guys/Gals,

Is it possible to mount a top rack and pannier racks at the same time on a Versys 650?

Thanks, Herp.

Yes it is. Here is a pic of my 2013 with my Trax top box and side boxes. There are many rack systems to choose from, and you can even use soft bags as well.

Kawasaki's opinion is NO, to avoid a rider from potentially overloading the bike. As a result some of the OEM racks, at least for the 1st Gen, are not compatable to have side and top racks together. Even these can be made to fit with minor mods.

However, like Thaylin says, there are many systems out there that work well together. I have Givi side case and top case racks on my '09. I put the top case on a year after the sides, and the 2 racks bolt together beautifully.

Always trust your cape.

I have the KTMduals aluminum rack and the Kawasaki/Givi pannier mounts. Since the KTMduals rack incorporates passenger handles, and its the best piece of kit made, something had to go. Out came the die grinder and cutting wheel. Off came the handles welded to the pannier mounts. I'm running Kawi/Givi V35 panniers and a Kappa K35N top box on the KTMduals rack. Anything can be modded and adapted. This is one of the easier mods.
